Cannas are big, bold beauties that have bright blooms topping spetacular, tall plants.  Their showy clustered flowers in yellow, pink, salmon, and shades of red attract hummingbirds and butterflies.  These tropical-looking plants have lush foliage in different shades of green, purple and bronze -- some even with stripes!  Easy to grow, they bloom mid to late summer.  We have a nice assortment of both Tall and Dwarf Cannas.  If you cut back the spent flower stalks to the 2nd or 3rd leaf from the ground your Cannas will be shorter and fuller during the growing season.  For earlier color, try potting them up about 4 weeks before the last frost.
