Japanese Iris (Ensata) is a magnificent
group of irises that are native to Japan. The blooms are orchid-like,
ruffled and flat. They can be planted practically anywhere including
in the water garden. They bloom about one month after
the tall bearded iris. Plant in fall or spring.
The Japanese Iris (Ensata) ‘Rising Sun' is bright yellow and large. It can be grown in any location from the garden to the water garden, where the rhizomes should remain just above the water level.
