Anemones (Spring)

Anemone Bulbs

Anemones are excellent for border plantings or in rock gardens.  Try planting them several months apart for more continuous blooms.  They make great cut flowers.  Be sure to soak them overnight in warm water to give the roots a good start.  In zones 6 and lower, plant in the Spring.  Fall-purchased bulbs can be held until them.  In general, deer avoid them.
